Story, Targeted readers,Critic, Elucidator,Sahitya akademi, Multilingual Writers Meet , Adivaram Andhra Jyothi My story Sahanaaniki Sarihaddulu

The Southern Regional office of Sahitya Akademi is organising a multilingual writers meet at 6 p.m. on 25th May In Bengaluru at Central college Campus.I have been asked to read a story. After a bit of thinking I decided to read my story
"సహనానికి సరిహద్దు " published in tthe Sunday suppliment of Andhra Jyothi dt 15th Sept 2015
At one place I wrote about reducing one’s comfort zone in financial situation when running an organization.
I meant that one should extend the limit of one’s patience when faced with an obvious difficulty. Reducing Comfort zone and extending tolerance limit in any matter go together, But there were several phone calls to me asking "What decision has Sitha(Protagonist) taken.?"To me it it is obvious that she will face hardships if she has to, rather than do something she does not like.Financial comfort zone pushes her to the uncomfortable value zone. She decides that the comfort in value domain is more important to her than in financial domain
It made me think about " Who are my Targeted Readers"
Should I write for the crtics who praise a story only when meaning becomes clear on reader making an effort? Or should I write elucidly to make ordinary readers understand?

I face a similar question when I teach
Should I not tickle the intelligent student ? Should I not Cater to the average ?Should I not help the slow learners?
A teacher has to do all the three
The future of the country depends on all the three categories of the students
So a lesson plan should include all the students
Perhaps a writer should cater to all the three groups of readers
That is what people call perhaps "Panditha Paamara Ranjakam"
I rember this when I write
Let some ask the question like " What has Sitha decided?" Only one line .. some did not understand .From many other callers I know that they could think and grasp. When they did, they enjoyed
I shall give them that pleasure

  2. I personally enjoy a story where everything is not spelled out. But I think that each writer has a readership that likes their style. So write in the manner that pleases you.
