Friendship and the possible domain

with one comment

We have some objectives and we face some constraints. There is a solution domain in which objectives can be satisfied within the constraints. In this solution domain there is a point where the objectives function can be maximised

We meet some body. To start with that person is only a known person. This is stage one
When we learn that we havesome common interests and some common values we become closer and become friends. This stage two.
In third vstage we are guessing the constraints. We take liberties some times .The other party takes liberties sometimes. No one likes Intrusions into ones privacy
So the intruder is repulsed. The intruder withdraws anf friendsip is continued
Each knows the friend ship domain reasonably well after a few excursions. This is the fourth stage. The friends now become well wishers.
In the fifth stage when the well- being of the friend is at a stake We or our Friend
intrude/intrudes to save the friend or us.Even at this stage and even if the intentions are good the friendships can be broken It happened for me, When I advised a close friend in his family matter unasked
It happenedd when my friend tried to convert me into a baba devotee and when i tried to veer another friend away from a bhagavan
So now I know that friendship can be lost, when we try to continue it outside the mutually accepted domain
Family relations are no exceptions. They follow this general pattern
Because we have to treat our children as friends after some age
