last week ( 20th to 27th of Nov. 2012)activities of kavana sarma

last week was ahecticweek I had to meet 3 dead lines1. A write up on Kanya Sulkam
Though Kendra Sahitya Akademy has asked mre to chair a session in Aug.2012 on gurajada at VIzianagaram , I was not asked by them to poresent an essay on him.But Prof. Anantha Suresh has asked me to talk on Kanya Sulkam on 21s6t oct 2012 at Indian Inst. Os Science. So I talked and had a feeling it was well received. Suddenly iaround 15th of November Velugu Rami Naidu of Rajam has contacted me over phone and requested me to contribute an article on humour in Kanyasulkam.I had a doubt. Had he asked me because I am his friend/Has somebody whom he asked did not deliver? Or is it he really thinks I can do justice?
I thought that may be he thinks i am good. So the speech I gave at IISC has been formatted as an essay and sent him.Sri rami naidu said he liked itI sent it around 20th Nov.
2.Mean whie Prof Vemuri Venkateswara Rao Whom I consider as a good science and Science Fiction writer has asked me to write a foreword to his stories mostly of science content.
He is perhaps the closest approximation to Douglas Adams and Asimov in Thelugu
Every thing has to be done through e mail. receiving his stiries and sending my foreword. I could meet his deadline including corrections by 22nd
3.OOn 19th or so my Guru Prof. V Bangareswara Sarma has suggested my name to Telugu Akademy at Hyderabad as a person who could give the a write up on Essays on Technology in Thelugu .Prof Aruna Chalam former VC of Dravidian university and a co-Science writer in Thelugu contacted me 20th and Thelugu akademy on 22nd asking me for the essay. Luckily I posted the article on 27th. Only regret is that I could perhaps have done a better job had I more time.

But my meeting 3 deadlines in such a short period has made me quite happy. I still have some fire in me!

  1. Congratulations in meeting all three dead lines on varied subjects, Sir.
Now you deserve to rest a little, and enjoy.
