campus interviews

with 2 comments

I am presently a visiting faculty at one of the well known engineering institutes on the boarder of Andhra and in orissa. Yesterday some campus interviews took place. About 150 appeared . 18 cleared the written test, abour 8 people perhaps got selected. If this is the situation with good colleges What is happening for other colleges?
Students are not paying attention to domain knowledge
They think Java and c + will get them jobs

  1. Computers have destroyed imagination and knowledge. As machines are becoming smarter, men are becoming more and more dumb.

    • the main problem with parents they are interested in pride, name and fame but as a parents they can think like that but the teachers and present faculty of colleges, they don’t have enogh knowledge about outside world, and for self learning also at least minimum motivation should be there from faculty, even that is missing.

Now education is for job and money making its not for learning, the priorities are changed sir now. The solution for the problem is quality of teaching, the teacher or lecturer should be innovative and should work hard than student then only improvement will be there, this is from my personal experiance. I Hope for the best. Some butterfly effect may change everything, “nenu sitam nenu sitam….” as per sri sri even i will try to became samidha
